Tabor Kicks Off Campaign Efforts with BBQ Gathering and an Old Fashion Stump Speech

Tabor Continues Grassroots Effort to Reach 5th District Voters

Kernersville, NC ñ Nathan Tabor, 2004 GOP candidate for the 5th congressional district in the House of Representatives, officially kicked off his campaign on May 18th, 2004. The event was held at Taborís family company, Revival Soy, and was attended by over 250 supporters from across the district. All 12 counties were represented at the kick off.

The event was held as a celebration of Taborís efforts and showcased local vocalists, with a tribute to the United States with patriotic music.

Tabor, who was joined by his wife Jordan, addressed the crowd with great enthusiasm. Tabor highlighted the success his campaign has experienced and how he has expanded his support base. ìWe have set up six offices in the district. We have already knocked on over 15,000 doors. Put out over 5000 yard signs. Put out over 100 4x8 signs in fields and on barns. We even have four pickups driving around with 4x8 signs in beds. We have put over 100,000 miles on different vehicles. Shaken thousands of hands, made thousands of phone calls and sent thousands of emails and mail pieces. We have done luncheons, bowling events, watermelon socials and meet in greets all over the district. Meeting many of you all at these events,î Tabor told the crowd.

Tabor also mentioned the support of several sitting Congressmen and the fact that he has over 100 pastors on his pastoral steering committee and 14 gun stores in the district that support his campaign. He also made a point to talk about key issues in the campaign.

ìWe need a Congressman who will work hard for our district, who has deep roots in our area, and stands for strong values. We need someone who is Right for Congress. I am that person,î said Tabor.

ìOver this campaign we have talked about hard work. This is simple to me. No matter what path you take in life, work hard every day to achieve your goals. Thatís what the American Dream is all about. Dreaming great dreams and then making them come true through dedication and hard work,î Tabor continued.

During the lunch, Taborís new campaign commercials were played over the loud speakers.

ìThis campaign is about people and their families. I would be honored to serve the people of the 5th District and on July 20th I plan on taking the nomination with your help,î said Tabor.
