Dear Team Tabor,

Your prayers and encouragement are paying off! We as a campaign have made many strides over the past month with your help. We have met so many people who are willing to help and want to join our team.

Over the past month we have received several key endorsements, received considerable press coverage, won an online straw poll, traveled throughout the district and continued our momentum. We have also continued our commitment to all people in the 5th District and have opened six campaign offices to date.

Please give me your suggestions and feedback at any time. With your help and God’s will we will win this election!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is a wonderful opportunity to reflect upon the past year, gather with family and friends, and give thanks for all that we have. As we consider how truly fortunate we all are, let us not forget to give thanks for our freedoms. Let us all remember how thankful we are for the young men and women who are serving our country and defending freedom all over the globe and in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Why is Thanksgiving a National Holiday?

In 1863, President Abraham Lincoln issued a proclamation shortly after he had committed his life to Christ. This was in the midst of the Civil War and this proclamation eventually led to the establishment of our national Thanksgiving holiday.

Home School Event a Success!

The Tabor campaign invited Mike Farris, Chief Counsel to the Home School Legal Defense Association, to educate parents and local leaders about the advantages and challenges facing the home school movement. The events attracted over 350 supporters of Tabor.

Thank you so much for so much support!

Nathan Defends Traditional Marriage, Outs  Former President Ford on Leftist Position

Nathan stated earlier this month that he thought a recent interview by The Detroit News of former President Gerald Ford demonstrated how some in the Republican Party are undermining traditional GOP moral stances.

Tabor stated, “Our party cannot afford to abandon the principles for which we have stood for so long. When I made my choice of parties, I understood the GOP to be a party that would stand up for the traditional American family, not pander to Hollywood.”

Ironically, a little over a week after the Tabor campaign sent this statement out, the Supreme Court of Massachusetts ruled that same-sex couples have a legal right to marry.

Obviously, the fight for family values must continue and without hesitation.

Falwell Endorsement Brings National Support

With Dr. Jerry Falwell's endorsement of Nathan, we have received so many emails and letters of encouragement that it is truly humbling. With such a response, we only continue to build momentum for the campaign.

The endorsement was even carried in the Biblical Recorder. (Read the article by clicking here.)

Please help us continue to grow our campaign by sharing this information and email with friends and family!

Dr. Jerry Falwell endorses Nathan Tabor at the North Carolina Pastors' Conference on Nov. 10 before the North Carolina Southern Baptist State Convention's annual meeting.

Nathan Tabor featured in national publication.

On November 6th, Nathan was featured in an article in "The Hill", a newspaper for and about the U.S. Congress.

The article was entitled: "House Hopeful: Mr. Tabor Goes to Washington" highlighted a recent trip to Washington D.C. by Tabor and several campaign workers. It noted that Nathan had the endorsement of several congressmen and that the day consisted of meetings with House members, donors and representatives from an assortment of interest groups and think tanks.

Over 75 Pastors on Pastoral Steering Committee

With over 75 pastors joining the Tabor for Congress Pastoral Steering Committee, the campaign is reaching local spiritual leaders.

Nathan stressed to a group recently just how important he felt this was to the campaign and to him as an individual. "I need prayers from everyone and particularly pastors. If we are to stay focused on the right issues and how best to serve the people of the 5th district, then we must ask for prayers for our leaders."

Would your pastor help Nathan? If so please pass along this information or contact our office!

Letter to the Editor:

I am sure many were as appalled and dismayed as I was with the recent decision by the Massachusetts Supreme Court to legalize homosexual marriage in that state.

What must have seemed inconceivable to most of us only a few years ago is now on the verge of becoming reality in Massachusetts and possibly other states.  In fact, soon after the Massachusetts announcement, gay activists in other states from New York to Arizona announced that they too would soon be appealing to their respective State Supreme Courts in an effort to
legalize gay marriage in their states as well.

As a conservative and, more importantly, a person of faith, I have always believed that traditional marriage between one man and one woman is the foundation of our society. It is an institution that, now more than ever, must be protected and defended by our elected officials.

I am running for Congress because I believe we must all step up and do what we can to protect and defend traditional values.  We must not forget that those Massachusetts judges were appointed by politicians elected by the voters in that state.  It matters who we elect.

If I am elected, I will not stop working until the immoral concept of
homosexual marriage is abolished once and for all.  I believe that our next member of Congress must be a strong defender and advocate of the traditional values that play such an important role in our everyday lives.
