From the Desk of Dr. Pat Robertson

November 18, 2003

Dear Regent Graduate:

I’m writing to tell you about a dynamic young political leader, and graduate of Regent University, who is running for the United States House of Representatives in North Carolina, 5th District. His name is Nathan Tabor.

As you know, at Regent our motto is “Christian Leadership to Change the World.” To me, this means helping put committed Christians in places of leadership where they make a difference for our values and our faith.

With our help, I believe Nathan Tabor will be our first Regent graduate to serve in Congress.

Nathan is co-owner of a successful family business near Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Revival Soy employs 130 plus people and occupies a 56,000 square foot center. As the head of sales and marketing, Nathan has helped Revival Soy achieve an average annual growth of 200% a year in sales. Under Nathan’s leadership, Revival Soy has been a significant partner of the Christian Broadcasting Network.

More importantly, I know Nathan personally. His faith in Jesus Christ, personal integrity and willingness to stand for what’s right are traits we need in our elected leaders.

I need you to take two steps for Nathan. First, pray for him. Running for office is a difficult venture and Nathan needs the wisdom and energy that comes only from God.

Second, I ask you to join me in contributing financially to Nathan’s campaign for Congress.

Already, I have personally invested in Nathan’s campaign because I am committed to seeing him elected.

Nathan is a leading candidate in a competitive “open-seat” Republican primary. The candidate winning the primary will almost certainly win the general election. This truly is our best opportunity to date to elect a Regent graduate.

At the end of December, Nathan must file a fundraising report detailing the total amount of money he has raised. It is crucial for his numbers to be good so I urge you to use the enclosed reply envelope to send your check by this important deadline.

I would not ask you to join me in this effort for Nathan if I did not think his candidacy is important. We need principled, faith-based leaders like Nathan Tabor in Congress but we will not get them unless leaders like you and I take action.

Thank you for your friendship.

And, thank you in advance for joining me in supporting Nathan Tabor.

Sincerely, Pat Robertson

P.S. Let’s help put our very first Regent graduate in Congress. It all begins now. Commit to pray for Nathan and then use the enclosed envelope to send your most generous contribution to “Tabor for Congress” before the crucial fundraising deadline.
