Bush Supporters Meet Up at Tabor Household

Nathan Tabor Hosts ìParty for the Presidentî

Kernersville, NC ñ Nathan Tabor, candidate for North Carolinaís 5th Congressional District, and his wife Jordan hosted a ìParty for the Presidentî last evening at his home in Kernersville. The ìParty for the Presidentî was a national effort coordinated by the Bush-Cheney campaign for reelection. With 112 people in attendance, the gathering was one of the largest in North Carolina and the nation.

Bush-Cheney supporters in all 50 states rallied at more than 5,000 Parties for the President that happened concurrently across the nation. Parties for the President are informal grassroots "parties" attended by supporters of President Bush and others who are interested in getting involved in his campaign.

ìJordan and I were thrilled to have such a positive response for the President and Vice President. It is paramount that every supporter does everything they can to help in the Presidentís reelection effort. It is a wonderful feeling to see so many supporters come and be a part of this party,î said Nathan Tabor.

The Tabor gathering opened with a greeting from Nathan Tabor. Several pastors in attendance led the group in prayer for the well being of the President, the nation, and for our troops overseas. Renee Griffith from Statesville provided praise music, and the entire group sang ìGod Bless Americaî prior to a group photo and social activities.

Madeline Shoemaker, a high school student in attendance, summed up the experience by saying: ìOur nation needs George Bush in office. We need strong moral leadership and I support President Bush.î Attendees ranged in age from small children to retirees.

The Bush-Cheney '04 Party for the President concept was launched on February 16, 2004, to further strengthen and grow the President's grassroots network of support across the country. The first national Bush-Cheney '04 Party for the President Day was launched with a goal of 2,004 simultaneous parties across the nation. The actual number of parties scheduled for Thursday, April 29, was 5,021.

Partygoers were treated to a conference call with Vice President Dick Cheney and were updated on the progression of the national reelection efforts.
