From the Desk of Stu Epperson October 8, 2003 Dear Friend, You’re a friend. Someone who shares my conservative values and commitment to putting effective leaders in office who will do the right thing. That is why I’m writing to you about Nathan Tabor – a longtime family friend and successful young businessman who is running for Richard Burr’s open congressional seat, 5th District, NC. Nathan has been a Gold Circle member of CNP for almost three years now. Steve Baldwin, Executive Director of CNP, says this about Nathan: " We so often elect politicians who later disappoint us, but Nathan Tabor has dedicated most of his life to fighting for good causes and promoting good candidates; his conservative philosophy is not just a campaign slogan but the way he has lived his life. There is no one else in the race with his kind of background, character, and experience and I urge all Republicans to do whatever they can to elect him." Nathan is co-owner of a successful family business in Kernersville. Revival Soy employs 130 plus people and occupies a 56,000 square foot center. As the head of sales and marketing, Nathan has helped Revival Soy achieve an average annual growth of 200% a year in sales. More importantly, I know Nathan personally. His Christian faith, personal integrity, conservative values and leadership skills are traits we need in Congress. I need you to take two steps for Nathan. First, pray for him. Running for office is a difficult venture and Nathan needs the wisdom and energy that comes only from God. Second, I ask you to join me in contributing financially to Nathan’s campaign. Already, I have personally invested at the maximum level of $2,000 in Nathan’s campaign because I am committed to seeing him elected to Congress. Your contribution for the same amount or for $1,000 or $500 or whatever you deem appropriate will make a big difference for Nathan’s campaign and it will mean a great deal to me as well. Nathan is a leading candidate in a competitive “open-seat” Republican primary. In fact, Nathan has raised over $300,000 and has built the best grassroots organization in the district to this point. It’s early, but Nathan Tabor is running the kind of campaign needed to win the Republican nomination. And, the candidate winning the primary will almost certainly win the general election. Soon, Nathan must file a fundraising report detailing the total amount of money he has raised. . By December 30th Nathan needs to raise about $150,000. It is crucial for Nathan to demonstrate continued strong support so I urge you to use the enclosed reply envelope to send your check by this important deadline. We need principled, faith-based leaders like Nathan Tabor in Congress but we will not get them unless we take action. So, join me in supporting Nathan’s campaign by giving financially and praying for him. Thank you for your friendship. And thank you in advance for joining me in supporting Nathan. Sincerely, Stu Epperson P.S. I would not ask you to join me in this effort for Nathan if I did not think his candidacy is important to our families, our values and our nation. Use the enclosed reply envelope to send your most generous contribution.
