Adds Michael Ziglar to Campaign Team Kernersville, NC – Nathan Tabor, candidate for North Carolina’s 5th Congressional District, announced today that Michael W. Ziglar has joined their campaign team as an Honorary Campaign Chairman. A Rockingham County native, Michael attended Morehead High School and Appalachian State University. He began a career with Farm Bureau Insurance Companies in 1974 as an agent in Boone. He was quickly promoted to agency manager in 1975 and then to manager of Forsyth County Farm Bureau Insurance Services in 1984. He has resided in Winston Salem since then and in the past 20 years has grown from one office and five agents to four offices and twenty agents. His work has yielded him nine statewide honor awards and has ranked in the top ten of over 900 agencies in the south for the past sixteen consecutive years. In 1992, he became a founding Board Member of the NC Family Policy Council, a statewide traditional value family organization affiliated with Focus on the Family. His involvement in politics has included working for Jesse Helms as the 1984 Watauga County Coordinator, Pat Robertson as the 1988 Forsyth County Chairman, Lauch Faircloth as a 1992 Finance Committee volunteer, Richard Burr as a 1998 volunteer, Gary Bauer as his 2000 Forsyth County Coordinator and later a volunteer for George W. Bush. He is married to Elizabeth Spence Ziglar and they have one son who resides in High Point. He has served as a deacon at Calvary Baptist Church and served on a mission trip to the Ukraine in 2002.
